Fencing contractors marketing agencies UK: who to shortlist in 2026

Fencing is a fast-turnaround trade. Jobs are quoted in a day, done in two, and the next one comes from a neighbour who saw the van. Marketing has to be quick to set up and cheap to run, because the margin on a 20-metre run of closeboard does not fund a £1,000 retainer. These five were shortlisted with that in mind.

Criteria for a fencing business

The fourth criterion is specific to this trade. After a storm, a fencing contractor's phone rings all day while they are on a job. Every unanswered call is a panel someone else fits. Any agency that handles missed calls scores well.

Foresite Design was on the original list but has no fencing or landscaping evidence beyond listing landscapers, so it was swapped for Agass Marketing Solutions, which publishes a fencing case study. Scaling this trade also depends on territory, covered in our piece on agencies that offer area exclusivity.

  • Speed: how fast can the agency have something live?
  • Cost: is there a fixed, published price a sole trader can plan around?
  • Fit: does the agency name fencing, landscaping or paving?
  • Storm cover: can the phone be handled when demand spikes after bad weather?

1. Riley Marketing

Best for: Fencing contractors who want a live site, reviews and missed-call cover for a fixed £149 a month

Riley Marketing names landscapers among its client trades and builds the same foundational system for any trade: an SEO-focused website with a page per service and per town, Google Business Profile optimisation, automated Google review requests including reactivation of past customers, missed-call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the contractor's own domain.

On the four criteria it scores well across the board. The fee is fixed at £149 a month at the time of writing, with no setup fee, so the cost is known. The system is built before you pay, so you see it live before committing. Missed-call text back is built in, which answers the storm problem: a text goes back in seconds while you finish the post you are setting. And there is no contract, so a contractor who quietens down in winter can cancel and come back.

Service and location pages suit fencing well because the search terms are literal: 'closeboard fencing Stockton', 'fence repair Darlington'. A page for each is what ranks. Review automation builds the trust that turns a neighbour's glance at the van into a call.

Founder Tom Riley has ten years in search and lead generation, led organic growth at an insurtech and runs his own lead generation sites. Clients deal with him directly. Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO are add-ons if you want to push harder in spring.

Verdict: Fixed fee, built before payment and the only entry here with missed-call text back in the base package. The right first call for a fencing firm.

2. Trustmark Trades (marketing arm)

Best for: Fencing contractors covering several small towns who want a flat-fee system without ads

Trustmark Trades' marketing arm in Hove names paving and landscaping among its trades and says it works with every UK trade. The fee is £299 plus VAT a month, no setup fee, no contract, no per-lead charges. It covers a custom site with service and town pages, directory profiles, a tracked local landline forwarded to mobile, review request tools, completed-job posts to the site and Facebook, hosting and an optional jobs CRM.

Its approach is to build many small-town pages in less competitive areas outside big cities. For a fencing contractor covering a rural county that is a sensible match. It publishes page-count and call-volume results for a paving, landscaping and roofing firm, among others, and cites a network of more than 170 members.

Call tracking is included but there is no automatic text back for missed calls.

Verdict: A credible flat-fee alternative at double the fee. The small-town strategy is the deciding factor.

3. Landscape Marketers (Intent Marketing Ltd)

Best for: Fencing and landscaping firms that want a niche agency and are happy to be quoted

Landscape Marketers in Litlington, Hertfordshire works only with landscaping companies, garden designers, driveway and paving firms and tree surgeons. Fencing is not named, but it sits inside landscaping for most contractors. Services cover website design, online advertising, SEO, AI search optimisation, email, social and downloadable guide and video funnels.

Case studies cover a garden design and driveway firm, a landscaper and a garden designer. Pricing and terms are not published, so cost and speed cannot be judged from the site.

Verdict: Relevant niche, unknown price. Ask for the fee and the setup time before comparing.

4. SanXpert Digital

Best for: Fencing firms wanting Google Ads and Google Business Profile on a fixed fee with out-of-hours capture

SanXpert Digital says it works exclusively with trade businesses and has for 12 years, with coverage of more than 80 UK towns and cities. Services are Google Ads, Google Business Profile management, local SEO, AI automation for out-of-hours lead capture, AI visibility work and web development. It names landscapers among its trades and offers a free live strategy audit of your trade in your area.

Pricing is a fixed monthly fee with no percentage of ad spend, rolling monthly with no contracts. Figures are not shown. Proof is limited to a roofing testimonial.

The out-of-hours AI capture partly addresses the storm problem, though it is a different mechanism from text back.

Verdict: Good terms and some phone cover. Get the fee in writing to compare with the fixed figures above.

5. Agass Marketing Solutions

Best for: Fencing contractors in the South West who want an owned site with a fencing case study behind it

Agass Marketing Solutions, run by Joseph Agass across Weston-super-Mare, Bristol and Somerset, is the only agency on this list that names fencing contractors and publishes a fencing case study. It builds a free website draft in 48 hours and you pay only if you like it: £499 one-off or £699 for WordPress, with optional £30 a month hosting and changes and no contract. The client owns the site and domain.

Sites include service and area pages, reviews and a quote form. Google and Meta ads and local SEO are quoted separately. The 48-hour draft scores well on speed; the regional focus limits who can use it.

Verdict: The best fencing evidence on the list and a low-risk model. Only for contractors in its area.

Shortlisting for your patch

A one-person fencing business anywhere in the UK should shortlist Riley Marketing first. It is the only option with fixed pricing, no commitment and missed-call text back in the base, and the last of those is worth more to a fencer in a windy week than any ranking report.

In the South West, add Agass for an owned site with a fencing case study. Across a rural county, add Trustmark Trades for its small-town page strategy. Landscape Marketers and SanXpert both need a quote before they can be compared, so ask early.
