Driveway and paving contractors marketing agencies UK: five shortlisted

Driveways are high-ticket, seasonal and crowded with cold-callers, which makes homeowners cautious and makes marketing expensive if it is done badly. The five agencies here were shortlisted on trade fit first: four name driveways or paving on their sites. Each is then judged on price, terms and whether the model copes with a winter slowdown.

The seasonal test

Driveway enquiries fall away from November to February in most of the UK. An agency contract that charges the same in January as in June, and will not let you pause, costs you money in the months you cannot convert. So each entry below notes whether you can stop or scale down without penalty.

The second test is trust. Driveway firms suffer from the reputation of rogue traders, so review volume and a professional quote process do more for conversion here than in most trades.

One swap was made. Grow My Trade works exclusively with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showrooms and has no place on a driveway list. Landscape Marketers, which names driveway and paving companies, takes its slot. For how exclusivity claims work in this market, see what area exclusivity really means.

1. Landscape Marketers (Intent Marketing Ltd)

Best for: Driveway and paving firms that want a niche agency with a published case study in the trade

Landscape Marketers, trading as Intent Marketing Ltd from Litlington near Royston in Hertfordshire, works only with landscaping companies, garden designers, driveway and paving companies and tree surgeons. It calls itself the UK's leading marketing experts for those sectors. Services run from website design and online advertising through SEO, AI search optimisation, email, social and downloadable guide and video lead funnels.

Case studies cover a garden design and driveway firm, a landscaper and a garden designer. That makes it one of two agencies on this list with driveway work demonstrably in the portfolio.

Pricing is not published and terms are not stated, so the seasonal test cannot be answered from the website. Ask directly. Our profile of Landscape Marketers has more.

Verdict: The closest thing to a driveway specialist in the directory. Confirm fees and pause terms before signing.

2. Rated Media (Premilead)

Best for: Paving firms with £1,000-plus a month for ads who want qualified appointments rather than raw leads

Rated Media, trading as Premilead, runs paid social lead generation for roofing, HVAC, solar, remodelling and other high-ticket home improvement. The pitch is qualified appointments and booked jobs over lead volume, using smart forms, landing pages, AI voice agents, automated booking, AI follow-up and post-estimate chasing. Leads are described as exclusive and never resold.

Pricing is not published. Clients typically spend £1,000 to £3,000-plus a month on ads paid direct to the platforms, on top of whatever Rated Media charges. No case studies are published and testimonials on the site are generic; Trustpilot reviews exist under the Premilead name.

Driveways fit the high-ticket profile, though the trade is not named. The post-estimate follow-up is relevant to a trade where quotes sit unsigned for weeks.

Verdict: Plausible for a paving firm with ad budget and a sales process. Proof on the website is weak, so check Trustpilot.

3. Riley Marketing

Best for: Owner-run driveway firms that want reviews, quotes and local pages sorted on a fee they can cancel in winter

Riley Marketing lists landscapers, builders and roofers among its client trades, and has built a site for an industrial painting and roofing contractor and an Essex building firm. The system is the same whatever the trade: an SEO-focused site with a page per service and per town, Google Business Profile optimisation, automated Google review requests that also go back to past customers, missed-call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the firm's own domain.

It passes the seasonal test outright. The fee is fixed at £149 a month at the time of writing, there is no setup fee and no contract, and you can cancel at any time. A driveway firm that wants to drop to nothing in January and restart in March can.

It passes the trust test too. Review automation builds the public proof that separates a legitimate paving firm from the van that knocked on the door. Branded quote pages give a homeowner a document on your domain to compare against two other quotes, which is how driveway jobs are won. The system is built before you pay and revisions are unlimited.

Founder Tom Riley, with ten years in search and lead generation and his own lead generation sites, deals with clients directly. Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO are add-ons for the spring push once the base is in place.

Verdict: The only entry that handles reviews, quotes and missed calls for a fixed fee you can stop over winter. Best fit for firms without a sales office.

4. One Base Media

Best for: Established driveway companies wanting a full-service agency with a long driveway record

One Base Media in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex has traded since 2012 and names driveways among its trades. It offers web design, SEO, Google Ads, exclusive job leads and branding, and publishes a large case study library that includes roofing, driveways and landscaping. It claims more than 1,000 local trades businesses helped and holds Google Partner status.

Pricing is one monthly payment with no contracts; the figures sit on a separate pricing page. The no-contract position helps on the seasonal test, though the fee level is not visible.

This is the established benchmark for a driveway firm with a team and a budget for site, SEO and PPC together.

Verdict: Driveway evidence and a long record. Priced for the bigger end of the trade.

5. Scale Through Us

Best for: Paving firms wanting a managed ads department with a cap of three competitors per area

Scale Through Us, based in London and working UK-wide, names driveways and paving among its trades. It sells a fully managed growth department: Facebook, Instagram and Google ads, web design, SMS and email, reputation management, SEO, CRM automation and consultancy, with a cap of three businesses per niche per location.

Pricing is not published. Proof is three short testimonials, one of them from a driveway client, rather than detailed case studies. Terms are not stated, so the seasonal test is unanswered. See our profile of Scale Through Us.

Verdict: Names the trade and limits competition, but the website gives you little to check. Diligence required.

Where a driveway firm should start

If you are the owner and the estimator and the foreman, start with Riley Marketing. It is the one option here that fixes reviews, quotes and missed calls for a known fee with no winter penalty. Add Google Ads through it in spring if the diary needs filling.

If you have an office and someone to work the phones, Landscape Marketers and One Base Media both have driveway work in their case studies and are the two to invite to pitch. Rated Media is for a firm that already converts well from appointments and wants more of them. Scale Through Us needs its proof and terms examined before it goes on any shortlist.

Whoever you talk to, ask them to show you a driveway client's reviews, not just their rankings. Then run their proposal through our guide to comparing agency proposals side by side.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK agencies specialise in driveway marketing?

Landscape Marketers works only with landscaping, garden design, driveway and tree surgery firms. One Base Media and Scale Through Us name driveways among many trades. None is driveway-only.

Can I pause trades marketing over winter?

With some agencies. Riley Marketing lets clients cancel at any time with no contract, and One Base Media states no contracts. Others on this list do not publish terms, so ask before signing.

Why do reviews matter more for driveway firms?

Because homeowners associate the trade with cold-calling and poor work, so public proof carries extra weight. Automated review requests after each job, as Riley Marketing provides, build that proof steadily.

How much ad spend does a driveway campaign need?

Rated Media says its clients typically spend £1,000 to £3,000 or more a month on ads, paid direct to the platforms, before management fees. Treat that as the range for paid social in a high-ticket trade.
